The Many Faces of… Julia Roberts

For this week installment I’ve picked actress Julia Roberts. She was born in 1967. Her parents acted as well and many of her relatives have made a career in acting too (for example her brother Eric Roberts). When she was growing up she wanted to become a veterinarian, but after graduating from high school she did pursue a career in acting. She appeared in some smaller movies and televsion series (she did an episode of Miami Vice for example), but her breakthrough role was opposite of Richard Gere in Pretty Woman and has appeared in a lot of movies since. She won an Oscar for her role in Erin Brockovich.

Overview roles Julia Roberts movies

My favorite role is probably the one in The Mexican. It’s a movie I really enjoyed and I can vividly remember her in that.

    • Looking at the amount of comments it seems she doesn’t seem to get as much love as she used to. I still enjoy her performances though. Thanks!

    • Well, she did appear in lots of entertaining movies, which is probably a big reason for it. I haven’t placed her on “The Ten” list of best actresses, but do enjoy her performances.

  2. Think the last film I really enjoyed her in was Pretty Woman. I know… that long ago! I’ve never been her biggest fan. Or maybe the films she’s been in. She’s just one of those actresses I just don’t see the fuss over.

  5. This is a great feature. I’ve enjoyed a number of Julia Roberts films even though I find them a bit hit and miss – my favourites are probably Pretty Woman and Erin Brockovich. I actually think she gets better looking with age!
