Snabba Cash 3 (2013)

Review Snabba Cash 3

The last part of the Snabba Cash (or Easy Money) trilogy takes a further look into the lives of the characters of the first two parts. JW leaves for the United States to find out what happened to his sister who disappeared years ago and Jorge is also trying to change his life and escape the criminal environment. Does this third movie succeed in keeping the same high level as the previous two movies?

Review Snabba Cash 3

If this is the first movie you watch from this series then you will probably miss out on big parts of the story. Because of the amount of flashbacks and the cast of various characters being followed there is a chance that you won’t be able to make much sense of it all. If you have seen the previous movies then you’ll notice that it initially a movie which feels quite slow. The story of JW is hardly shown until the final thirty minutes and by that time you will have almost forgotten he was part of the story. The main focus in this movie is Jorge.

Review Easy Money 3

Of the three movies this felt like the weakest. Especially during the last half hour of the movie the story becomes unrealistic. The result might be some fun action sequences, but by that time I wasn’t interested anymore. The focus was suddenly shifted toward a relatively unknown character and what occurs feels almost like Hollywood cliché. I wished the ending would have been stronger as I was really invested in the characters and had high hopes of the final movie, which it unfortunately didn’t manage to meet.
