The Many Faces of… Billy Crudup

The many faces of billy crudup

After watching Almost Famous recently for my 2015 Blindspot series I wanted to take a look at the career of one of its stars: Billy Crudup.

He was born on July 8, 1968 in Manhasset, New York. At age 8 he moved to Texas with his family and later to Florida where he graduated in 1986. He had a passion for acting and acted with the LAB! Theatre. The University of North Carolina had a show on which he acted called General College. After graduating he got a role on Broadway in Arcadia. He also started acting in films with one of his first roles in the movie Sleepers. He continued to work on stage as well and received various Tony awards. He appeared in movies like Big Fish, Mission: Impossible III, The Good Shepherd, Watchmen, Public Enemies, Eat Pray Love and Blood Ties

  1. He’s not really my fave actor but I do think he’s quite a chameleon as he seems to look different from film to film. He’s good in Big Fish!
