John Hull: In that case I’ll take two of them.

This is one of my favorite movie quotes. It comes from Deep Cover in which cop Russell Stevens (Laurence Fishburne) applies for a job as undercover cop. He becomes John Hull and his job is to infiltrate a drug cartel and get the right information in order to take down the big bosses who are running it. Of course he has to start at the bottom, which means street dealing in order to get attention from David Jason (Jeff Goldblum). Continue reading

Death Wish (1974)

Paul Kersey (Charles Bronson) is a successful architect, who’s working on several development projects. When his wife and daughter fall victim to a brutal robbery in their house he’s slowly starting to change. When he’s in Arizona to give advice for a new project he receives a gun as a present. When he’s back in New York he decides to try to find the people responsible for the attack in his house. It doesn’t take long before the police start looking for him. Continue reading

The Fly (1986)

There are some movies that have scenes which you will never forget. For me The Fly is one of those movies. It tells the story of Seth Brundle (Jeff Goldblum), a scientist who is doing research on teleportation. He’s a genius and manages to actually make it a reality. When he decides to teleport himself it turns out he’s not the only one in the machine. As the title already suggest a fly also is present in the machine, and The Fly shows what a human/fly hybrid could be. The reason that I remember quite a lot about this movie is because of the excellent special effects and make up, which are sometimes quite gross. Continue reading
