The Monday Question: You have to get a crew together for a space mission, which movie characters would you pick?

The Monday Question

As I saw The Martian last week I started thinking about space travel in various movies and started wondering about creating your own crew. The mission? You’ll be exploring a new planet and you will have no idea what you will face. It might be uninhabited, but alien lifeforms could also be present. This week’s question:

Who would you pick for your crew? Continue reading

The Monday Question: Which movies would you like to experience for the first time again?

The Monday Question

A great joy of watching movies is that sense of discovery. Knowing that there is so much out there you haven’t seen and the thrill of finding one which ultimately touches you unlike any other movie has done. I love that first experience you have if it is a movie you have a deep connection with, of the unknown and it’s a shame that you know that the second time you’ll see it that feeling would be slightly different. It made me think:

Which movie(s) would you like to experience for the first time again?

Of course you could go for movies which have big reveals, something like Oldboy. But if I was forced to only pick two or three I’d probably go for my top 3 movies, Black Swan, Pulp Fiction and Mr.Nobody as I’m sure that they would have the same impact on me and would end up in the same spots. It would be thrilling to not know what would happen. Interested to know which movies you’d pick!

The Monday Question: Statistics!

The Monday Question

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a question and as you might have noticed my posting schedule hasn’t been as regular as it used to be. Partly that’s because I’ve been focussing a lot of my attention on the Dutch version of this site this past year, but there is also another reason: statistics. Yes, I do appreciate everyone who visits my blog, but since the beginning of the year I’ve seen quite a drop in numbers. I still don’t know the reason for this, but compared to last year the numbers were around half of what they were before. It might be that Google has changed some of its algorithms, meaning specific articles aren’t found as easily anymore or maybe because some popular articles have been less relevant, but still it has been something that’s been bothering me a bit. So that made me wonder:

How important are the statistics of your blog to you and have you noticed any changes the last year?

The Monday Question: First!

If you are visiting my blog regularly I’m almost sure you love movies as much (or even more) as I do. Of course the love for movies is something you weren’t born with, it must have grown and have started somewhere. So this week the Monday Question is: What was the first movie you saw in the cinema and what impression did it leave on you? Continue reading

The Monday Question: Laughter!

It’s Monday again, hopefully you all had a great weekend and saw lots of amazing movies!

This week’s question has to do with a genre which is possibly the most subjective of all the movie genres out there, comedies. Unless you know what kind of taste in comedy someone has it’s very hard to rely on their judgement. That’s why I want to know about your taste. This week’s Monday Morning Question: What are your favorite comedies? Continue reading
