Intelligence is a drama series starring Josh Holloway (Lost). His character, Gabriel Vaughn, is of great value for the American security forces as he is the first human who has a chip in his brain. With this chip he can access any online network allowing him to quickly analyse the situation he is in and use the information to his advantage. Secret agent Riley Neal (Meghan Ory) is his partner, not only to to fight threats, but also to protect Gabriel, as his bodyguard.

The Bridge – Season 2

Review The Bridge season2

Although most popular TV series are made in the US, the Scandinavian countries have proven that they also produce a lot of great shows. On of those shows is Bron/Broen, better known as The Bridge. Season 1 managed to be extremely interesting from the start. A body was found at the middle of a bridge connecting Denmark and Sweden. The departments of justice of the two countries have to work together on the case because of it. It was a thrilling story with an ending you will not be able to forget. That first season wrapped everything up nicely and when I heard that a second season would be made I started to wonder if it would be able to reach the same quality as the first season. My fear was that it would feel extremely unrealistic and forced. That first season everything the story flowed in a convincing and natural way. I also wondered how you would be able to bring the characters together again. Continue reading

Lillyhammer Season 1 – (2012)

When you see Steven Van Zandt you probably recognise him as the guitar player in Bruce Springsteen’s band or as Tony Soprano’s consigliere, Silvio Dante. Even though he never aspired to be an actor he rolled into it when the writer of The Sopranos, David Chase, saw him presenting an award on TV. He asked him to play a role in the show, to which he agreed and so his acting career began. With Lilyhammer he returns into playing the role a mob guy. The question is whether this show can even be compared to the hugely succesful Sopranos. Continue reading

Giovanni Ribisi was born on December 17, 1974 in Los Angeles. As his mother was a manager for actors and writers, he already started acting at a young age. He studied acting at The Beverly Hills Playhouse. He appeared in small roles on a lot of well-known TV shows like Married With Children, My Two Dads, Blossom, The Wonder Years, Ellen, NYPD Blue, Walker, Texas Ranger and the X-Files. His big breakthrough came when he appeared in Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan. He has since appeared in many movies and TV shows including Lost in Translation, Friends, Cold Mountain, Public Enemies, Avatar, Ted and Gangster Squad. Continue reading
