Michelle Williams was born on September 9, 1980 in Kalispell, Montana. She was interested in acting at the age of 9. Her first roles were in TV shows including Baywatch, Lassie, Step by Step and Home Improvement. Her first movie role was that of Young Sil in the science fiction movie Species. When she moved to L.A. she managed to get a role in Dawson’s Creek. Besides the show she also appeared in movie like Halloween H20: 20 Years Later and The Station Agent. Since 2004 she has focussed on movie roles, appearing in movie like Brokeback Mountain, I’m Not There, Synecdoche, New York, Blue Valentine, Shutter Island, Meek’s Cutoff, My Week with Marilyn and Oz the Great and Powerful.

She was by far the best thing about Dawson’s Creek. There, I said it.

Blue Valentine is my favorite among her movies. She definitely deserves all the credit that she is being given.

Such an incredible actress. While she is not consistently great (she was completely lost in Synecdoche NY) she was brilliant in Brokeback Mountain, Blue Valentine and My Week with Marilyn.
Was My Week with Marilyn a movie worth checking out? I’m sure she is good in it, but thought the movie itself might not be so good.
Michelle Williams has really grown on me as an actress. She’s been brilliant lately but didn’t think much of her during the Dawson’s Creek days.
She is really proving herself now
I think My Week with Marilyn is the best role she ever took. But I always love her performances. She’s so adorable and classy.

Although I didn’t enjoy Take This Waltz, she did give a solid performance.
