The Many Faces of… Robin Williams

Movies Robin Williams

It is always shocking when someone suddenly has passed away and I just woke up with great shock reading that actor Robin Williams has passed away. So I immediately decided to write this post about him and there is not better way to remember him than to create an overview of all his roles. Making the overview I realised how many great movies Robin Williams has acted in. He won an Oscar for his role in Good Will Hunting and through his career acted in both serious roles and comedies. These include movies like Patch Adams, Good Morning Vietnam, Hook, One Hour Photo, Insomnia, Flubber, Toys, What Dreams May Come, The Fisher King, Jumanji, Aladdin, Awakenings. He was a versatile actor who will be missed.

    • Yeah was chilling in One Hour Photo. Will have to admit that DPS is one of those movies I still have not checked out but have been planning to for a while now.

  1. Glad you did this as a tribute Nostra! He’s versatile indeed, a gifted comic who can turn in dramatic chops convincingly. I will always love him in Dead Poets Society and Mrs. Doubtfire.

    • Yeah, I just had to do something even if it cost me a bit of time as soon as I got up. Will check out Dead Poets Society very soon as I’ve never seen that.

  2. I was gutted and broke into actual tears when I heard about it. He was that uncle you always wish you had. He could blend comedy & drama so well. My favourite role of his is from Goodwill Hunting actually. The famous bench scene w/ Matt Damon is absolutely beautiful. RIP 🙁

  3. It’s great to see all the characters he has played – each image brings back such wonderful memories. I perhaps didn’t realise how much I enjoyed Robin Williams’ work until I started to write my tribute and top 10. A very sad loss. I’ll miss him.

  4. It’s hard to pick just one role, given his long and diverse career. I think his best performance is Good Will Hunting, but I have a soft spot for some of his 90s family films like Hook and Jumanji as well. Definitely a huge loss in the movie world.
