When it comes to British humour the Monty Python team is one of the best. Well known for their weird sketches, obviously simple humour and absurdity. In this movie the 6 member play about 40 different roles. Is the Life of Brian a movie that you have to when you are a Monty Python fan?
The team made a number of feature-length movies. This movie tells the story of Brian, who is born on the same day as Jesus. During the movie he joins a resistence group that is ‘fighting’ against the roman oppressors. As expected the movie has a lot of jokes. Whether it is Pontius Pilate with his speech impediment, Brian being mistaken for the messiah (which he denies) or a stoning which goes wrong (and women have beards), every scene has the typical Python jokes. Of course the song “The bright side of life” has become a classic that you still hear being played during games.
If you like British humour, you can’t go wrong in getting this movie.

There are so many great scenes in this movie, I would be hard pushed not to hand out a full 10 marks.
It’s a really great comedy, but to me i really have to get excited about a movie (or series) or have a “Wow” moment in order to give it a 10. It really has to impress me. I didn’t have that with this movie.
