So the last battle of Round 1 is upon us (although with a slight delay). Today pits a gangster against a magician.

Al Capone

The leader of the Chicago mob who controlled almost all criminal activities in his town and managed to stay out of the hands of the law for years.

versus

Lord Voldemort

From IMDB:

Lord Voldemort, also known as Tom Marvolo Riddle, is the incarnate of evil and sworn enemy of Harry Potter. He is feared so much in the wizarding world that he is simply known as ‘You-Know-Who’ or ‘He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named’.

  1. Wow! I can’t believe that it’s 50/50 at the moment!!

I voted for Lord Voldemort because as your description states, he is the “incarnate of evil”! This suggests that take all the evil in the world and times it by 100 and you might come close to what comprises Voldemort!

Plus, he probably wouldn’t get pinched for not doing his taxes… 😉

  2. Hi, Nostra and company:

I was never impressed with De Niro’s Al Capone. Always preferred Jason Robard’s take on the Chicago gangster in Roger Corman’s classic ‘The Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre’ and
Neville Brand’s Capone from the original ‘The Untouchables’ TV series.

Voldemort, all the way! Even though I’m not much of a Harry Potter fan.
