Brothers’ Nest (2018) – Review

Review Brothers Nest
Relationships are complicated and people have secrets, even for those who have known them all their lives. There are situations or feelings that you keep to yourself and may never discuss or express in other ways. Frustration can swell up and eventually manifest itself in a shocking way. The same goes for the two brothers in Brothers’ Nest.

Review Brothers Nest

When the mother of Terry (Shane Jacobson) and Jeff (Clayton Jacobson) want to change her will to leave everything to her current husband, the brothers make a plan to change that before she dies. With knowledge they have gained from crime series and the internet, they head to the parental home to make the preparations.

“makes a big impression…”

Brothers’ Nest proves that you don’t always need a lot to tell a fascinating story. The largest part of the film just focusses on the brothers (in one location) and thanks to the well-written (sometimes comic) dialogue you learn a lot in the first half about their mutual relationship, youth and motivations. Once they have started putting their plan into practice, the tension rises and the situation becomes unpredictable. However, this small title with a lot of dark humor, drama and excitement makes a big impression.
